Are your kids bored in church? The Animal Sermon Notes for Elementary Kids is the solution you need to help your kids actually engage with the service!
The Animal Sermon Notes feature all kinds of animals including elephants, horses, lizards, and cheetahs to appeal to animal-loving kids and keep them engaged!
Let's face it: Elementary-aged kids often have a hard time paying attention to a sermon geared for adults.
With the Animal Sermon Notes Pages, you can help mid to late elementary-aged kids transition from the junior church program into the adult service, making them feel welcome AND encouraging them to participate!
These Animal Sermon Notes printables will help you keep kids quietly entertained and encourage them to take an active part in church services!

Specifically designed for mid to late-elementary grades, the Animal Sermon Notes Printables will help kids better understand the sermon by encouraging them to write down the main points and the Bible references.
A Sunday morning checklist encourages them to come to church prepared AND participate through singing, praying, greeting other people, and being a blessing to those around them.
And, a "This Week" review section encourages kids to remember what they heard in the sermon and apply it to their lives throughout the week.
Nobody wants to do the same page over and over again! That's why the Animal Sermon Notes Printables includes ten completely different page designs (front and back). Kids will love having different images and activities to complete each Sunday.
The Animal Sermon Notes Printable pages are perfect for
- Handing to visiting families with little boxes of crayons as they enter the auditorium,
- Keeping in a basket with pencils and clipboards at the church welcome center,
- Printing and using as an individual family,
- or Handing out to kids at the end of the Sunday School program before they enter the adult service.
As a church, when you hand parents these Transportation Sermon Notes pages, you are telling them, "Your kids are welcome here. We understand that it's difficult to keep your kids quietly entertained. We want to come alongside you and help you as you teach your kids God's Word."
And you are telling the children, "You are welcome here in our church! We care about you, no matter your size!"
This file is 20 pages long (10 pages front and back). If you have a printer that can print double sided, simply choose that option when you print the file.

These sheets look like a good tool to help kids focus on the content of the sermon. I have only one 5th grade Sunday School student at this time, but his Dad is excited about using these to discuss sermon content with him on a regular basis. This is a good age to start learning to take notes, too, so he will be developing skills he can use throughout his life. The pictures make the pages interesting and some of the questions are more fun and easy than important which, I think, makes it more appealing for children.
Love this!
These were great for the kids to colour and make notes - being 'busy' and engaged while still listening and being part of the programme alongside the adults. We used the notes at our family camp where we had an intergenerational programme.
