Would you like to help your older children get more out of church services? Here's the answer: Doodle Sermon Notes!
These sermon notes pages feature fun, doodle-style artwork in camping, ocean, forest, transportation, and city life themes. There are 10 unique pages to use, so that you and your kids won't get bored doing the same page over and over again.
Each page includes ample space for writing sermon notes, plus doodle inspiring illustrations to draw on or color if desired.
A "This Week" section encourages kids (and adults!) to re-read the sermon Bible passage, think about what they have learned from that passage, and to practically apply it to their lives during the week. The questions on the "This Week" section change from week to week, so that your kids won't get bored.
Finally, each page also includes a "Focus on Prayer" section, perfect for recording prayer requests mentioned during the service and for praying through the Bible passage used during the sermon.
The sermon notes are designed to be printed on 8.5 by 11 inch paper, double sided. They are the perfect size to fit in a Bible, include in a church bulletin, hand out after a Sunday School class, or keep on hand at the church welcome desk.
This is a digital product. This means that you will receive an electronic downloadable file (PDF) with 20 pages (10 pages printed front and back). You can use them immediately and make as many copies as needed, week after week and year after year, for your immediate family, church, or classroom use.
I really like them. I hope my teens do too. :)
I love this resource. Great way to get kids to engage with the worship service, which is a particular challenge for our church today (kids have not been encouraged to be in the worship service in the past). I could use some guidance on how to get kids to actually TRY it.
My only critique is that I think it looks too juvenile for teens and adults to use.
Thank you so much for your review, Kristine! My church has been placing these sermon notes sheets on little clipboards in a basket with pens and pencils right by the auditorium doors. Young people really do grab them. Of course, some are just doodling, but others are filling them out. I have also heard of Sunday School teachers offering small treats or special game time for kids who bring in completed sermon notes pages. (I, personally, am not above bribing!) I hope this helps. May God bless you!
These are great!
We handed these out for use at our church family camp recently. They were helpful for writing notes and keeping people engaged in the talk. The pictures and places to doodle were also helpful for people who need to be 'busy' while still engaged in listening.
